Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect on the tendbean marketing website and waitlist, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've kept it plain on purpose.
Who we are
tendbean is a service of Matelias LLC, a California limited liability company. You can reach us any time at contact@tendbean.com.
Scope
This policy covers only the tendbean marketing website and the email waitlist. The tendbean app is not available yet. When it launches, a separate privacy policy will govern the app and any information it handles. Nothing here describes an app, an account, or any baby data — none of that is collected by this site.
What we collect
What you give us
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
What's collected automatically
- A salted hash of your IP address when you submit the form. We never store the raw IP address — only the hash, which we use to limit abuse.
- Which form you signed up from (for example, the hero form or the final call-to-action).
- Timestamps for when you signed up and confirmed.
- Your confirmation and unsubscribe status — whether you've confirmed your email, and whether you've opted out.
To tell real signups from bots, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes bot-detection signals from your browser when you submit the form. Cloudflare, which hosts this site, also keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and request details) as part of running and protecting the service.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. It collects information such as device type, browser, approximate location (city or region level), and the pages you visit, so we can improve the site. Under the default settings we use, Google Analytics does not store your full IP address, and we have not enabled Google's advertising or cross-device tracking features. This data is processed by Google in accordance with its Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any website using Google's opt-out browser extension.
Why we collect it
- To send you the confirmation email and, later, launch updates.
- To prevent spam and duplicate signups.
- To allocate founding-member perks in signup order.
- To count how many people have joined the waitlist.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers to run the site and waitlist. They process your information only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, our database, and bot protection (Turnstile).
- Resend — sending the confirmation and launch emails.
- Google — website analytics (Google Analytics), to understand how visitors use the site.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising. Aside from Google Analytics (described above), there are no advertising trackers on this site.
Cookies and tracking
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example, _ga)
to tell repeat visits and sessions apart. We don't use advertising
cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may also set a functional token in your
browser so it can run its bot challenge.
Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across third-party websites, so there is no cross-site behavior for us to change in response to a Do Not Track signal.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you ask us to delete your data, we hard-delete your personal information within 7 days.
We don't keep separate backups of our own — your entry lives in a single database hosted by Cloudflare. As part of running that database, Cloudflare automatically keeps a short point-in-time recovery history (so a database can be restored if something goes wrong). Deleted data can remain in that recovery history for up to 30 days before it ages out on Cloudflare's schedule; after that, no copy remains.
Your choices
These are things we offer, so you stay in control of your information:
- Unsubscribe — every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Opt out of analytics — install Google's opt-out browser extension to stop Google Analytics tracking.
- Access or delete your data — email us at contact@tendbean.com and we'll help.
We aim to respond to these requests within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed to children. You must be 18 or older to join the waitlist, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Data is encrypted in transit with TLS. IP addresses are stored only as salted hashes, never in the raw. Credentials for our providers are held in Cloudflare's secret manager, and access is limited to people who need it.
That said, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For material changes, we'll also email waitlist members.
